In the world of Forensics, like any legal topic, you must also have a great understanding of the legal environment in exists within. Here in Canada, like anywhere, that can be a daunting task. But there are a few exceptional resources out there for lay persons, police, or anyone really. Here are two out of my favourites list:
1. www.HenryWaldock.ca - Henry is an exceptional legal reference with an impressive CV. He scans case law on an almost daily basis, and shares cases with a summary of significant areas of interest. His ability to clearly summarize and highlight important case law decisions, is a great way to stay up to date, and ensure you understand the legal concepts involved. The information available on his site is beyond description. If you have any legal interests, bookmark this site, and visit it daily!
2. www.CriminalNotebook.ca - This is a website created by Peter Dostal, who Like Henry, is another of the exceptional legal minds of our time. His site provides a wealth of information on Criminal Law, which has a great search function to find your way through all the details. Again, this is another site to bookmark and visit daily.
Between these two sites, you will likely always find what you are looking for!
Now please know, I have spoken to both Henry and Peter, before. But neither would know me, and I am not recommending these sites for any other reason than they have been, and continue to be, an exceptional resource to know.
