At Bow Valley College, each term a number of classes are randomly selected to take part in the voluntary Learner Evaluation Forms (L.E.F.). In classes selected, learners are invited to voluntarily take part in the evaluation of the course, and instructor, anonymously. Below is an amalgamation of feedback I have received, from eight of the classes I have taught. In total, 60 learners have taken part in this feedback.
For feedback, the learners were asked to choose their answers to the following questions on a scale of strongly agree – agree – disagree – strongly disagree.
1. The instructor could answer my questions about the course information/content.
2. The course information was presented in different ways that helped me to learn.
3. Class time was used well
4. I felt comfortable contacting the instructor if I needed to.
5. I understand how my course work (some examples are assignments, exams, quizzes, labs) was marked.
6. Course work (some examples are assignments, exams, quizzes, labs) was returned to me in good time.
7. The feedback on my course work (some examples are assignments, exams, quizzes, labs) was helpful.
The results are demonstrated below in the following table.

In addition to providing responses to the aforementioned questions, learners are provided with the opportunity to write their own comments. Below is a sampling of comments provided by learners in the evaluation forms:

Areas for improvement: Because of the sudden pandemic, I think Scott was able to make the transition as smooth as possible. There is nothing to improve with the course, I know he had planned for many fun things for us to do and he was able to provide through MS Teams."
"Criminal Law in Canada-19JANMNAT42 - Scott Mark: Scott Mark is a very knowledgeable instructor, you can tell by how he presents the course content and material. I appreciate how efficient he is in responding to emails and questions about the course material."
"Criminology-20MAYMNAT41 - Scott Mark: Scott was great in delivering this course to us students, in my opinion. The weekly live online class delivery on MS Team that he offered was very helpful as well and he provided quality education almost identical to an in–class instructional. His greatest strength is his experience as he always give either real life experience relevant to the topic, or learned experience such as references to other studies that are relevant to a given topic at hand.
This is of utmost importance to me because after all, my goal is to learn as much as I can for potential career in the Justice field. The course syllabus was also followed and explained in as much depth as possible. It was definitely a great course and exceeded my expectation of an online class"
"Criminology-20MAYMNAT41 - Scott Mark: Scott Mark gives clear instructions with the proper amount of detail. He is able to make himself available when needed and he doesn't add unnecessary details into his discussions."
"Canadian Criminal Procedure-20SEPMNTR41 - Scott Mark: Scott Mark is a terrific instructor, he always answers any questions we might have to the full extend of his knowledge. His presentation style and layout is very easy to follow and understand."
"Canadian Criminal Procedure-20SEPMNTR41 - Scott Mark: Scott is very knowledgeable, and is always willing to take the time to explain things fully and answer questions even if they are not directly related to the course."
"Criminal Evidence-19JANMNTR42 - Scott Mark: Scott, is extremely well organized, methodical, professional, diligent, thorough and knowledgeable about subjects he taught me. I have learned a fair bit in class and from the book. His slides are well organized, the layout was easy to follow, as he explained everything step by step, chapter after chapter. His marking was very fair – if you follow his suggestions, you will do very well in courses he teaches. Amazing instructor."
